Job Description

We are seeking a caring, compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our domiciliary care company. As a Care Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to elderly and disabled people in their own homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and dignity.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting, and medication administration

• Assist with meal preparation and feeding, as required

• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients

• Help clients with shopping, cleaning and other household tasks

• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes or concerns to the care manager

• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, and maintain confidentiality at all times

• Participate in training and development activities, and attend team meetings as required

• Work flexibly to meet the needs of the clients, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays

Requirements

• Previous experience in a care or support role is desirable, but not essential

• A caring and compassionate nature, with a desire to make a positive difference to the lives of others

• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues

• A patient, understanding and non-judgmental approach

• Reliable, trustworthy and able to work independently

• A willingness to learn and develop new skills

• Access to a vehicle and a valid driving license (desirable but not essential)
